Sometimes...

...my sister Megan and I like to pretend we are professional photographers and take pictures. Well my younger sister Natalie was in need of some senior  pictures and I told her we would have fun and take them. They turned out pretty good! Here is just a glimpse of what we did.

Month 13

I am sooo behind on my monthly videos of Evelyn! So here is a quick update. Evelyn loves to walk around and explore everything. I bring her to the library often and she could be content, walking around, flipping through books for hours. She now has two little teeth on the bottom and boy does that totally change her cute little face! I have a hard time thinking she is not my baby anymore. She is a very curious, but happy toddler. She can tell you what a cow says, "ba-mooooo" and what a dog says (basically she just pants for this one!) Evelyn loves to plash in the tub and is always trying to escape to find great grandpa and go for a ride with him. This little one keeps me on my toes but I wouldn't have it any other way. She sure brings lots of love to our little family.

Despite the fact that Evelyn had a fever and wasn't her normal cheerful self, the party went great. The house was bursting at the seams with family who love our little girl.

The birthday girl!

We wanted to set off a big chinese lantern (like in Tangled) for her first birthday. We had a bunch of us write something for Evelyn on it before we set it off. 

And it's off!

Then it was time for some birthday cake! Evelyn is one of those babies that likes to feel out her food. She played with the frosting in her hands for quite sometime and then when she felt like it was okay, she dug into full force! Of course my dad decided to put a balloon on her head, so naturally she grabbed for it with her fingers covered in frosting!

Life lately

I'm alive...I promise. Being sick for two weeks, working, and trying to keep everything together while your husband gears up for finals is a little stressful.  You guys all know how it goes! But I've learned not to let it get to me and just to enjoy any minute I get with Jake, even if it's just sitting next to him while he studies, and to love my little girl up. Plus how could I let myself get stressed when miss e speed crawls to me every time I come home from work to give me a big hug...(oh it's the best thing ever!) So here's a photo dump to prove we are alive and doing well and not stressing!
