More snow?!

This snow really likes to test my patience. I had so many errands that I wanted to run, (plus it would kill a little time I wouldn't have to entertain miss E) but I guess it's not meant to be. It just keeps coming down! But it's been good in a way. I've definitely had to get more creative to entertain Evelyn. Which usually isn't hard. Most of the time you can find her sitting by her books. She loves to take them all out, scatter them everywhere, and eventually look through the pages. This is a girl after my own heart! But this being cooped up inside all day has brought out a little devilish side in her. I've seen her throw a couple of little tantrums lately and I can't help but just laugh a little because she looks so cute! Oh the perks of being a mom.

Snow!

Here comes the sun!

Blessed sunshine! Thank you March. Miss Evelyn and I have been on several walks, now that the weather has finally gotten warm. Of course she just falls asleep as soon as I put her in there but I enjoy it immensely. It's so nice being able to just go outside for a little bit instead of being cooped up inside the house all day. It gets old. Fast. Today we walked over to the park close to our house and walked around the track several times. It was so fun to see all the little kids playing on the playground. It got me a little excited for when Evelyn is that age and we can have fun on the playground too.

But for now, I will push my little girl who is asleep in her stroller to my hearts content.

Puddles

via pinterest

I love me a summer rain storm. However these last two hit Provo pretty hard and I am done with the rain. Jake and I were outside yesterday in the rain helping grandma dig trenches to divert the water from the house. Water was piling up everywhere. We both had a good laugh when Jake (in flip flops mind you) slipped and got stuck in the mud. My rain boots were also covered in mud. Great muddy fun! After the storm cleared up, I would see cars in parking lots driving through huge puddles of water that were left by the storm and it just made me smile. Anyone who knows me knows that I love driving through puddles. Jumping in puddles. Stomping in puddles. It's the best. I can't wait to take my kids some day in their cute little rain gear and just jump in puddles after a rain storm.

Star light, star bright

Yesterday night, this happened.
It was amazing!

Jake and I counted at at least fourteen shooting starts, and a couple of meteors.
I love looking up into a starry sky. You get lost and you feel so insignificant amongst all those stars.

Like I said, it was amazing.

Done.

Jake and I finished our last engagement shoot yesterday and we had so. much. fun!

Loved the people I worked with. We got some pretty awesome shots.

And the weather? Can you say B-ea-utiful?! Seriously both Monday and Tuesday were THE perfect days to take pictures. We will receive them next Friday so I gotta be patient. Which I am so not good at. It's something I'm working on no worries.

Getting my nails done with my G-ma for the first time. Doing a pre test before bridal pictures. No fake nails for me though.

Can't handle them.

Lovely

Can I just tell you how much I am digging this weather?
It's hard when you work in a third floor dental office with a lot of windows to see
all the happy people running, biking, or walking their dog.
I wish I had a dog to walk.

Maybe one day.
Jake and I do want a dog....maybe a Lab perhaps? A golden one?

Went to go look at some mattresses today for our apartment and I got this silly urge
to jump from bed to bed. Am I mature enough to get married?

Yes I am!

Autumn

Now THIS is what Autumn should feel like. Still a little chilly, but the beautiful sun is out and shining.

Not thirty four degrees and snowing.

Stop

So I'm thinking the rain has got to stop. At least for a couple of days so I can go swimming!

Granted, I'm not ready for 90+ degree weather but a little sunshine would be nice.

Please?

Whiteout

Forget about slushing. It's snowing and the flakes are huge! I saw little kids in their snow gear playing outside and it made me want to cry.

Come on Spring! You can make it. Please?

Emanate

Spring is here! It is apparent all around campus. The flip flops and capris have emerged and you can start to see the little flowers pushing up through the ground! I love it. Spring tends to give me a new surge of energy that winter sucked out of me. It's awesome to have this new surge of energy, but it makes it so difficult to stay focused on studies when I could be playing outside, flying a kite, or going on a bike ride. Friday was a beautiful 70 degrees and Saturday was the same. I needed to run stairs around campus but I decided that hiking Waterfall Canyon would be just as good, if not better! So I grabbed my roommate and another friend and hiked up Waterfall Canyon. It was perfect hiking weather. A little breeze in the air, and the sun shining. Throughout the hike we ran into thousands of butterflies! They were everywhere! We made it to the top after about an hour and fifteen minutes, hung out by the waterfall for a bit, then started to head back down. There was still snow in some parts of the trail so it got a little slippery at times. I slipped and fell flat on my butt in the snow and had this awesome round circle of wetness on my butt for the rest of the hike. I just love being out in nature. I wish I had time to go hiking like that every day!

Loveliness

Weather for today: 50 degrees, a little bit of a breeze and shining!
Oh how I wish it could be like this every day! I just want to walk around campus all day and not go to class. I don't even have to wear a big warm coat, gloves or a scarf. Heck I can just wear a scarf instead of a coat. Most of the snow has melted and you can see the grass! The sky is clear and the birds are chirping. Pure loveliness. Perfect day for flying a kite! If only I had such a thing.
