Operation...

....Star Wars style! Okay I just come across this in my e-mail and had to post it for all my Star Wars nerds out there. My husband loves Star Wars and we usually have Star Wars marathons every once in a while. Granted we don't get very far and hardly ever finish them, (because we are old and fall asleep during movies) but oh well. Right now Best Buy is selling it for $9.99! Ha I am so thinking about buying it. Plus R2D2 is so much cooler than a fat naked man right?

"Do you know what's happening over there?"

My husband is pretty funny sometimes. Jake and I were in a parking lot watching the fantastic lightning show that we had this night. I love to watch lightning storms! He turned to me and said,

Jake: "Do you know what's happening over there? Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort are battling it out"

Pretty funny eh? I think so!

Quite the opposite

You know when you have those moments when you see the cutest, and I mean cutest baby ever and you get baby hungry? Well I had quite the opposite of those today at work. It pretty much cured me of wanting kids. Lets just say that when I have kids, I hope they don't act like that at the dental office. Ever.

It's Costco!

First of all our little sunbeams we teach are adorable. One Sunday one of the little boys said the cutest prayer. It was a pretty lengthy one too. He blessed that we would watch a movie today in sharing time, as well as blessed the hot dogs and hamburgers we were going to eat. Jake and I opened our eyes a little bit and smiled at each other. I don't know what hot dogs and hamburgers he was talking about! We were giving a lesson on The Book of Mormon this last Sunday. Jake had brought The Book of Mormon along with two other books; A Costco cooking book and a reading book. As soon as we pulled out the Costco book, the little 3 year old yelled, "Hey...Costco" as he read the cover of the book. Jake and I were shocked. This kid can't read yet but he was sure able to read the word Costco. Apparently he is a big fan of Costco because he asked if he could take the book home with him. Oh what Costco is doing to our children.

Would you put eyelashes on your car?

My sister and I were driving down to a little boutique I wanted to check out when we saw something like this on the side of the road.

I was so sad I didn't have my camera with me so I could take my own picture. Apparently you can buy several different types of eyelashes and put them on your car. Really people?

Commercials

Jake and I were talking about how commercials don't really work on him. Never has he gotten the urge to buy something because of a commercial. I wish I could say the same for me.

I have seen a commercial for these yummies almost every day for the past couple of days and I just about had it. 

I made Jake come to the store with me to purchase them. 

Dang commercial. 

Up!

I love looking through National Geographic pictures. My grandpa usually has a collection lying around the house and every once and I while I will just sit and let my eyes be entertained with the beautiful shots they get. I came across this today.









They were able to get to about 10,000 feet in the air and got it to fly for about an hour.
Crazy! It will be part of the National Geographic series, "How Hard Can It Be?" which comes out in the fall of 2011. I am kind of excited!

I like to avoid awkward situations...

And sometimes I will go the long way home to avoid them. Take yesterday for example.

I was pulling out of Buylow, just finishing some grocery shopping. Windows were down, it was a beautiful day outside. As I was pulling up to the light to turn left, I saw the hobo man who I'm pretty sure is not a real hobo and now that the weather is nice he has come to claim his spot. Last summer he was there all the time! It's a red light. So I'm thinking...if I stay in this lane I will have to quickly roll up my window and awkwardly sit in my car right next to him. Pretending that I didn't see him of course. Instead of doing that I quickly changed lanes, turned right and took the longer way home. Sounds a little silly but I got to ride home with my window still down and bypassed that awkward situation. Go me. 

A day made of glass

Jake showed me this video and I was pretty impressed. I'm not sure if the technology actually exists yet but seriously....how cool. Although You would need to stock up on a lot of windex. And possibly some antibacterial spray.

Obsessed

Lately I have become obsessed with lockets. Here are some of my favorites.
Etsy is just full of them! It amazes me every time I look at that site, the talent that people have. I am determined to have one of these in my possession.

Sometimes

Sometimes I like to shop online but not buy anything. Actually that's most of the time.

Bunch of weeds

I got to work and found out I had totally forgotten my salad dressing for my salad. Hate it when that happens. Yes it has happened more than once.
So now I get to eat it all plain. Yuck. I feel like I am eating a bunch of weeds.

Yum.

Color blind

Today Jake and I had fun seeing how color blind he really is.

Again

I did it again.

Randomly signed up for a race this Saturday that is going to maybe kill me.

.....at least it's for charity.

A little this, A little that

Who would have thought that life could get even busier when not in a semester of school.

Well it is.

But....it's grand!

We just celebrated Meg's 19th birthday....which it really isn't until Thursday but she was working that day, mom and I are both gone for choir stuff....pretty lame. It was great though! I hope she got everything she wanted. I'm counting down the days for mine! Twelve days my friends! Honestly I think twenty is a fat age. Boring. Twenty one...now that's exciting! But I am sad I have to change my license. I am quite fond of mine, except for my awful signature. I should start practicing that.

I spent the weekend with Jamie and her family which I always love! They are pretty much my second family. We went to see her sister in a musical called The Boyfriend. Loved. It. We got home so excited to watch Italian job because who wouldn't want to see Mark Wahlberg's amazing arms and cute smile. We both fell asleep within the first ten min. It's those couches I tell ya!


I met his whole family this last Sunday and had a blast! Of course I was a tad nervous at the very beginning but soon just found my place. One of his little nephews, who is five mind you, came up to me and said this.

"Heather, what are your intentions with my Jacob?"

Me: face turning redder by the moment and laughing. A lot. Does he even know what that word means? It was so cute.

So I've decided I want to explore the whole crock pot thing more. So if any of you have some really yummy recipes you should holla!
