Jake to the rescue

I woke up this morning and felt like I was going to die. You know when it hurts so bad just to swallow your own saliva, your body aches, your head hurts and you just want to fill up your tub with hot water and disappear for the rest of the day? Well that's what I did.

Jake didn't have class today so he stepped in and took care of Evelyn because I didn't want to get her sick. Poor thing already has a little cold. Seriously what would I do without him sometimes? I am so grateful he was here. Also grateful this semester he wont be as busy as last semester....maybe. Evelyn and I love spending more time with papa.

Drool face. I love it!

Being positive

The one year I don't get my flu shot....I get the flu. Bad. However, here are some positive things about this.

• Hours of "Saved by the Bell"
• Jake giving me foot massages (although he gives me these all the time)
• Being in comfy clothes all day long
• Not having to do your hair or put on makeup
• Blankets, blankets, and more blankets
• Jake lovingly rubbing my back as I puke in the bathroom
• Chicken noodle soup
• Lots and lots of cuddle time

My husband is the best. 

Woke up this morning extremely sick and just feeling like I got hit by a bunch of cars. I was up all night. He had set the alarm a little bit early so he could kiss me good morning and rub my back before he left for school. Boy do I love a good back rub. 

My nose is red, eyes are puffy, lips are dry and gross, totally look like crap....husband puts his hands around my face, kisses my forehead and tells me I am beautiful. Even when I am sick.

Heart melting right now. 

I love him so.

No worries. I am still sick from Thanksgiving and......

I woke up with a swollen eye this morning. Very cute.

Fake Swine Flu

Who gets sick the day before Thanksgiving? That would be me.

However I am thankful that it is not swine flu because I'm pretty sure I had all the symptoms.

Close Call

After all my efforts to try not to get sick....I got sick. It's been hanging around me this whole entire week. Yes I know it's only Wednesday. I don't like being sick. Especially when I have so much to do and don't just want to sit around at home. I went to the gym because I needed to do SOMETHING...bad idea when you're sick. It just made me more sick. And sore. My abs hurt when I sneeze. And my lungs. Awful. Well last night I took my NyQuil a little early so it would be working by the time I went to bed. Then I totally forgot that I had a couple of fifteen question quizzes that I had to take that night. So I started right away. During the second quiz I started to feel the effects of the NyQuil. Bad. It was like I had hit a brick wall. I hurried and finished the quiz as fast as I could before I zonked out.

I finished, barely made it to my bed, and fell sound asleep.

Thank you NyQuil for a good nights rest.

Too much love

I think I got a little too much love from my family over the weekend. I think all of us are sick except for mom.

So woke up yesterday morning with a sore throat. Oh. Dear.

Everyone knows waking up with a sore throat is a huge sign that a cold is on the way. Well sure enough that is what happened. Work was awful just because I felt like I was going to explode at any minute. I wont go into details because that's just gross. My eyes were bloodshot and if for some reason I got pulled over driving home, I am sure the copper would ask me if I had been drinking. Not very likable unless it was water because that's all I ever drink! Stupid immune system. I mean granted it has only had 7 years to arm itself, but a cold during the summer is so annoying. The only thing that kept me going today was the fact that as I was walking up to work, I passed a maybe 37-40 yr old man when his phone went off. I laughed hysterically when I heard what his ring tone was.

"It's Gonna Be Me" by N'sync. Really? You really have that as your ring tone? How old are you? And of course he had the volume up so loud that everyone could hear it. I jumped just a tad because of how loud it was. After work I was going to buy a pair of shoes....not that I actually need another pair of shoes. I stopped by to get something to eat before heading to the mall that contained a fortune cookie. I opened up the fortune cookie which read, "Lavish spending may be disastrous, be careful." Dang it! I turned around and went home. I didn't need those shoes. Not yet at least!

Plague

Who ever gave this cold to me I am very bitter towards right now.
My lungs are filled with nasty sputum and I sound like a smoker.
I look and feel like a zombie.
Tried to study....that only lasted about an hour.
With one sneeze I feel like my whole body is about to EXPLODE!
Have no apatite but am starving!
Can't stop coughing and roommates have avoided me like the plague.
It's okay though because I did the same thing when they were sick.
I always sneeze at the worst possible time.
Body aches all ova!

The sun will come out tomorrow.
NyQuil it's time for you to do your magic.
A good nights sleep here I come...maybe
