do you really think President Obama deserves this prize? Seriously what has he really done? Yes, maybe he did try a couple of peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians, but that came to nothing. Through other news sources, it appears that President Obama was only in office two weeks when the nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize was due. No offense to those who like Obama but I don't think he was even qualified for a prize like this. As the President of our nation he does have my respect, however, I do not agree with what he is doing with our nation. Don't even get me started on the health care plan.
- Mother Teresa - India, leader of the Order of the Missionaries of Charity.
- President Roosevelt - played a vital role in the help of settling an end to the Russian-Japanese war.
- Kim Dae Jung - his work for democracy and human rights in South Korea and in East Asia, and for peace and reconciliation with North Korea in particular.

For freaking reals. This made me so mad. He was nominated for "setting loftly goals" or some stupid thing like that. ANYONE can set lofty goals. I agree with you, he does have my respect, but he hasn't done anything like get the Berlin Wall taken down (which, incidentally, didn't earn Ronald Reagan the Nobel Peace Prize), and he doesn't deserve such a high honor.
