Crave
Is it bad that I already want this semester to be over with? Not that it's been a hard semester or anything. I have notta to complain about there. I'm just done taking these silly classes. I want to tackle to real deal. I crave to be doing clinicals. Probing. Scaling. Anything. I'm sure my mind set will change once I am doing clinicals. But for right now....
I crave it.
Halloween this weekend! I am going to party-it-up Flapper style!

4.68
So today I decided it was a good day to kick my dislike of running in the butt. Well I take that back....I don't dislike running, I am just not very good at it yet. Usually I hate running outside because it's so dang hot and I don't last very long, but last night I ran with my roommate around Provo which was perfect because it was just a tad chilly. Perfect running weather. Today I needed a break from homework so I went for a run outside. I ended up running 4.68 miles and it felt great. I loved running through all the leaves that were on the ground. Hearing a "crunch" each time I took another step. It was hard not to jump into the many piles of leaves that the BYU work crew had piled together as I passed them. There was one huge long hill that just about killed me but I made it. Unfortunately it's now back to homework. I have been so bad at procrastinating lately. It's not good.

Heavens No!
I was grocery shopping today, and while standing in line I about lost my patience. This poor mom and her three extremely hyper children. One was climbing on things and running around, another was wanting everything in the store and would throw a tantrum if they didn't get it. Another was yelling, "mom, Mom, mOm, moM, MOM!" over and over again.
Two thoughts passed through my head at this moment.
1. Some people's children!
2. H no are my kids gonna act like that and get away with it.

Gardner Village
Finally got the pictures from Witches Night Out! Now remember...this was kind of a last minute thing for some of us. I had no witch costume. I pretty much grabbed a black dress, threw on some fish net tights....which I will say I am not a huge fan of wearing, and had my cousin grab me a hat. I thought I would be okay. I was totally under dressed. Everyone there when ALL out. It was crazy. Lucy was a huge hit. Lucy is the cute dog that my cousin's friend brought with her. She even had a little witch outfit on!

Pumpkin Carving
For FHE we all did some pumpkin carving! I was so dang excited. I have been wanting to carve pumpkins for a couple of weeks now. My family and I go all out when we carve pumpkins so I was ready to show them my skills. So I find a cool stencil as usual and bring all my sweet carving tools. I get there and with my perfect pumpkin and start cutting out the bottom....which is what I have always done. People were looking at me as if I were crazy and all pointed out that I was doing it weird. I kindly explained to them that it was easier just to cut out the bottom so you could place the pumpkin over the candle. Ta-da! Most said they have never heard of doing it that way. As if I didn't feel way out of place already, almost everyone was doing a free hand. Here I was with my Darth Vader stencil ready to go.
Geesh do these people not know what real pumpkin carving is?!?
Thanks dad for teaching me when I was young how to really carve a pumpkin!

Delight
Dear fall, please make your self at home and stay a while.
My new favorite thing to do is drive through a pile of leaves really fast and to see them flutter behind me. I might like it even more than driving through big puddles on a rainy day!
Soon to come....pictures of all the witches at Gardner Village. Yes I went with a group of girls during witches night out where everyone dresses up as a witch and they do a bunch of fun things. It was fantastic. I don't know why I haven't heard of this place before. They had some of the cutest little shops and one where I wanted to buy every single piece of furniture and home decor thing in that shop.

Fall break
This fall break has been great. Sleeping in everyday, not doing any homework....pure bliss. I took my little sister to see Little Shop of Horrors Thursday night which was great. Story line is kinda out there but the music is so much fun! I went to Thriller last night with my dear friend.....it was pretty much amazing! I went to see it maybe two years ago with my mom and sisters at the Tuachan theatre in St. George and loved it. They even put in a couple of new numbers for Tristan Gray who is only thirteen and can pop and lock it like no other, as well as doing a number in memory of Michael Jackson. Oh how I wish I could dance like that. It's amazing the talent that was shown on that stage. The show was fantastic.
The drive home was not.
It took me an hour and a half to get home from Salt Lake. Ridiculous! The freeway was shut down to, do I dare say it, one lane. Of course you had the stupid people who tried to sneak up the slowly closing lane as long as they could and that makes me very mad. Then you had people that accidentally left their blinker on so you would be nice and let them come over, but they actually didn't need to come over. I thought there was a huge accident or something so I listened to the radio, which I hate to listen to the radio, for about ten minutes and didn't hear anything except conversation about some car insurance scam or something like that. Turns out it was construction at the AF overpass that they are trying to complete. I loath construction. It seems like it is everywhere!

Complete
After five shots today, my immune system is finally complete! Finally!
It makes me laugh every time, because I always get a different nurse when I go in. They don't really know my background of having a bone marrow transplant so when they see that I need to get all of these immunizations that you were supposed to get when you are little, they get a little confused. The nurse I had today, sat down and laughed and said she was confused. After I explained, it was a lot easier to understand.

My poor arms. Of course I had to get the adult amount with
every. single. shot.
every. single. shot.
Tension
I learned a couple of days ago not to discuss politics with my roommate. It just wasn't good. You could immediately feel the tension that entered our quaint little place. Thankfully we both got the hint and quickly moved on to the topic of Michael Jackson.

Secret
Dah! I am ecstatic about the information I have just received! Unfortunately I have been told not to share it yet because it hasn't been "officially released yet". I will say that it's about the guest singer who will be singing at the Mormon Tabernacle's Christmas concert this year. It's going to be fantastic! If you don't find out from somebody else, stayed tuned because as soon as I get the okay to blog it I will!!
I just had to tell you all because sometimes it feels good knowing something that other people don't!

Laughter
Can I just tell you how much fun I had last night? So I went on a date with a giant. Seriously this kid is so tall! I was semi okay with my height until I stood next to him.
I maybe go up to his shoulders. Maybe.
We went to Comedy Sportz and if I may say, it was the best one I have been to so far. The players were hilarious and everything they said was really witty. Definitely a good night to go.
I laughed so hard I'm pretty sure I had a six pack by the end of the show. We talked, found out more about each other, conversation flowed great, he was great. Did I mention he is going into dentistry? Likes to cook? Likes to read? Play games? Plays the piano? Has a great singing voice? Is very smart? Loves to play any sport and be outdoors? Great smile? We have a lot of things in common including music taste including dislike of country music, being the oldest, the fields that we are going into.....seriously. It's crazy. I just sat there and thought...geesh who are you?! Perfect guys like that don't exist or are very hard to come by. If only I were a good couple inches taller! I do love my heels, but I love my flats a tad bit more. Well after Comedy Sportz, we came back to my place where we made Skookies, not pizookies, yes there is a difference, with a couple of other people. The Skookies were ah-mazing! After that, we played games, and laughed our heads off till about 1 in the morning. Do you know how long it's been since I have stayed up that late before? Long time. It was such a fun date!

Say what?
Dear people who give out the Nobel Peace Prize,
do you really think President Obama deserves this prize? Seriously what has he really done? Yes, maybe he did try a couple of peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians, but that came to nothing. Through other news sources, it appears that President Obama was only in office two weeks when the nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize was due. No offense to those who like Obama but I don't think he was even qualified for a prize like this. As the President of our nation he does have my respect, however, I do not agree with what he is doing with our nation. Don't even get me started on the health care plan.

- Mother Teresa - India, leader of the Order of the Missionaries of Charity.
- President Roosevelt - played a vital role in the help of settling an end to the Russian-Japanese war.
- Kim Dae Jung - his work for democracy and human rights in South Korea and in East Asia, and for peace and reconciliation with North Korea in particular.

Close Call
After all my efforts to try not to get sick....I got sick. It's been hanging around me this whole entire week. Yes I know it's only Wednesday. I don't like being sick. Especially when I have so much to do and don't just want to sit around at home. I went to the gym because I needed to do SOMETHING...bad idea when you're sick. It just made me more sick. And sore. My abs hurt when I sneeze. And my lungs. Awful. Well last night I took my NyQuil a little early so it would be working by the time I went to bed. Then I totally forgot that I had a couple of fifteen question quizzes that I had to take that night. So I started right away. During the second quiz I started to feel the effects of the NyQuil. Bad. It was like I had hit a brick wall. I hurried and finished the quiz as fast as I could before I zonked out.
I finished, barely made it to my bed, and fell sound asleep.
Thank you NyQuil for a good nights rest.

Too much love
I think I got a little too much love from my family over the weekend. I think all of us are sick except for mom.
Ugh and right before midterms!

Stout
I love when I am reminded of how stout in nature I am.
Especially when I get in my car after my father or brother have taken it for a ride.
Thanks mom for giving me your short legs. Really though I am thankful. I can wear all the fun high heels I want and will never have to worry about being taller than the guys!

Found
Today I emptied out my backpack. All. Of. It. I forget how many secret pockets are in there! Here is a list of items of what I found hidden in my backpack.
- Floss....of course. Not used floss if that's what you were thinking. That's gross.
- A spoon
- Two sets of headphones
- 3 packs of gum. All in different pockets. I guess I forget I have one already in there.
- A granola bar from who knows when. Good thing those things keep pretty good.
- 5 Blue pens. I really don't like writing with black pens for some reason. I know I'm weird.
- Some pearl earrings that are lonely and missing their other half. I have been looking for those for a while!
- A mini wireless mouse
- A plethora of sticky notes with events written on them
- 3 different kinds of chapstick. I go through phases. Burt's Bees, Softlips, and Aveeno. No lip gloss for me. I'm strictly a chapstick girl.
Who knew I had all this stuff hidden in my backpack!
I Hope everyone enjoys this beautiful weekend with the weather and Conference. I look forward to trying to find my mom within the choir. It's like playing Where's Waldo...but it's Where's Ruth Crosland! Let me know if you see her.

Autumn
Now THIS is what Autumn should feel like. Still a little chilly, but the beautiful sun is out and shining.
Not thirty four degrees and snowing.
