- Ran during lunch break. I knew I had no time after working to exercise and I wanted a little fresh air.
- Worked on one of my papers while waiting for a patient to get numb.
- Had dinner with a dear friend. Both of our schedules have been too busy to actually get together.
- Helped dear friend make cookies for a boy while watching a movie and eating our dinner.
- Watched the movie while working on the other paper. I maybe actually payed attention to the first and last part of the movie.
- Took 2 tests while eating a lot of the cookies.

A More Perfect Union
Today in my history class, my teacher FINALLY handed us back our graded tests and reviews. I had been waiting to find out my score for a while now!
Aced it.
That just made my day. After we all got our tests back he turned on a movie for us to watch. A More Perfect Union. Gotta love when teachers put on movies. I actually do watch them though because I love history, no matter what era it is. As I was watching the movie I remembered that my grandpa Crosland is in this film as John Adams. It was so fun to watch him in this movie and to see him do what he loved. Acting. My grandpa taught theatre at BYU and Weber for many years and directed many plays. I definitely inherited my love of theatre from him.

Nothing Better
This weekend was grand for many reasons.
- My dad took me four wheeling up in the mountains. Oh how I have missed that. Our family would go four wheeling all the time! The scenery was beautiful. I can't believe how fast Autumn comes and goes. I tried to take as much in as I could while driving around.
- My car is finally clean. Oh boy was it dirty.
- Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.
- A dear roommate, her mom, her grandma, my mom and I, all went out to the Blue Iguana, (yum...) and then went to Women's Conference at the Conference Center. Some very good talks were shared there.

- BYU won their game!
- Visit from a cousin that I haven't seen in a while.
- A call from my roommate who is in Germany.
- Started and finished a paper that was due Friday!
- Time with the family.

Autumn
Autumn is my favorite time of year. I love all the colors and smells that it brings. Plus it means more pumpkin pie being made which is my favorite as well! On Monday the family and I celebrated my brothers' 17th birthday. So weird. I can't believe he is 17. One of my favorite presents he got, and this is only because I can play it too, is the new Halo ODST. I know I'm a nerd....but it's so fun! Very much enjoyed it. After all the cake and everything, my dad decided it was time to harvest all our pumpkins. Most of them were ready anyways. So we took the family down and all took dibs on "our" pumpkin. I took 5 home with me, Grandma and Grandpa Crosland took 4 home with them...and the other 33 were placed in our yard.
That's right you heard correctly. 42 pumpkins!!! Lets just say our plot was extra blessed or something. We are going to have a pumpkin carving-pumpkin pie eating festival!
I can't wait.

Books
I remembered why I have to hide all my books when school starts this weekend.
I started a book called Hunger Games a little bit before school started and LOVED it! This weekend, the second book, Catching Fire, came out and my little sister bought it. She however needed to re-read the first book. I begged and begged her to let me just read her book. I read books very very fast and told her I would most definitely be done before she finished. She gave up and let me read. I pretty much inhaled the book. I started reading the book Friday afternoon, and finished it Saturday. Those of you who know me, when I start a good book, I can't put it down until I finish it.
My poor eyes.
Well I woke up this morning in panic because I remembered a paper in my theatre class that I should've been working on this weekend. I have to watch a Shakespeare play and write a paper about it. I didn't worry about it too much because I had all weekend to do it.
It's now Monday. Where did the weekend go?

Pumpkin Spice Lotion
I always leave a thing of lotion in my car because dry hands are a HUGE pet peeve of mine. Well this morning when I left for work, I went to put on some lotion.....and it was frozen. Okay maybe not frozen frozen...but I had to shake it up quite a bit and it was cold to the touch. Very different from the last time I opened it up and the lotion exploded on me because it was so hot.
Fall is on it's way!

Crush
I feel like I am in Jr. High all over again by saying this.....but I have developed a crush. On a boy.
The end.
The end.

Random
I was reading a fellow bloggers' page that had some pretty funny thoughts that she had found. I felt like I needed to share some of them with you because they made me laugh and everyone needs a good laugh once in awhile!
- Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after DVDs? I don't want to have to restart my collection.
- I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.
- LOL has gone from meaning, "laugh out loud" to "I have nothing else to say".
- I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars teams up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers!
- While driving yesterday I saw a banana peel in the road and instinctively swerved to avoid it...thanks Mario Kart.
- MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. Pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
- Whenever I'm Facebook stalking someone and I find out that their profile is public I feel like a kid on Christmas morning who just got the Red Ryder BB gun that I always wanted. 546 pictures? Don't mind if I do!
- If Carmen San Diego and Waldo ever got together, their offspring would probably just be completely invisible.
- You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you've made up your mind that you just aren't doing anything productive for the rest of the day.
- I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.
- I like all of the music in my iTunes, except when it's on shuffle, then I like about one in every fifteen songs in my iTunes.
- As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but no matter what the mode of transportation, I always hate cyclists.
- Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.
- I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call
- I wonder if cops ever get annoyed at the fact that everyone they drive behind obeys the speed limit.
Also....I must be out of the loop or something, but I was just informed by a friend at work that Downeast sells jeans. Amazing jeans. My favorite kind of jeans. That are really hard to find. Did anyone else know this?
I'm going jean shopping!

Avoid
You know when you need to work on something but are avoiding it by doing other mundane things? Well I have run out of things to do. Hence this post. All my fun homework is done. What's left on the agenda for today is my computer class.
You all know how I feel about this class.
Plus I just found out that I do have to write a term paper on computer hardware. That's.....going to be a fun paper.

Hiking
Sometimes I wish I had all the time in the world for hiking. It's so refreshing to just go out and hike. Get away from stress. Boys. Technology. School. A couple of us are going to hike Timpanogos during the night so we can make it to the top to see the sun rise. Well none of us had ever hiked Timp. before so we decided to preview the trail during the day so we would be somewhat familiar with the trail. This was one of the most beautiful hikes I have been on around here. I couldn't help but take thousands of pictures. Here are a few from the hike. I sometimes forget how close I am to all these wonderful hikes. I want to try to do a hike once a week before it gets too cold.

Fact
- I am addicted to popsicles. I have a couple almost every day.
- Lemon Pepper is the best seasoning ever invented.
- Still don't like tomatoes which makes me sad. I finally tried one again with mozzarella cheese and basil sprinkled on top....it wasn't horrible, but not good either.
- I am so impatient when it comes to cooking. Noodles especially. I'm working on it.
- Drinking raspberry lemonade out of a champagne glass is much better than just a regular glass.
- Today is 9/9/09 -Elvis Presley appeared on television for the first time on The Ed Sullivan Show fifty three years ago.

Labor Day
Labor day = fun with family!
Sadly my mom and dad took Megan and ALL her stuff up to Idaho to get all settled for school at 4:00 in the morning so they didn't get to participate. We missed them just the same. These pictures are out of order but I am too lazy to fix them. We hiked the Y, which I have never done before and have been wanting to do for a while. It's such a steep hike! I'm pretty sure that we never had any just straight ground to walk on. And hardly any shade. But I can now cross another thing off my list! After that everyone else went to a BYU women's soccer team which I heard they did very well in. I however went home to be a good college student and work on some homework.....did I get any of it done?
Nope.
After the game we all met at my grandpa's house for a little snow cone making. We got the huge blocks of ice and made tons of snow cones. I honestly think I had around 4. Before you think I am totally disgusting, 2 of those were just plain ice. I just love being here close to family. I love my HUGE Packard family and love that I do stuff with the cousins all the time. Well enjoy the pictures...even though they are out of order!

Decisions
These past couple of days have been really hard for me for some reason. Everything in my life I have had planned for a while. I never really have had to make a hard decision because I just knew what I would be doing. Well lately a mission has been entering my mind. Constantly. It occurred to me about a week ago that I could be turning in my papers in 3 months.
I about had a heart attack.
I didn't think it was that soon! Now for the longest time I have said I was not going on a mission. It just wasn't for me and I honestly don't/didn't want to go. If I'm gonna go it's going to be because I truly want to. Or I guess if I find it's what the Lord wants me to do. I have had many wonderful examples of women in my life who have gone on missions and have said it has changed their life. My mom, many aunts, friends, and a cousin who is about to leave. I can already see the change in her as she prepares to leave. I feel like there are so many signs that are pointing this way or that way. I could go on a mission. I could get into the dental hygiene program. I could meet a very special guy. I can do missionary work where I am right now. There are so many ways this could go and any of those would be great! But just picking one kinda messes up everything else. So it needs to be THE right one. I was so certain about my life and how it would be. All the pieces were put together. I know I need to ponder things and ask my Heavenly Father, but honestly....I am afraid of the answer I might get.
Oh heaven help me.

Practical PC for Dummies
So I have to take this computer class online to finish up my generals. I purchased my books for the class and started going over chapter 1. After a bit of reading, I made sure that I got the right book because this seemed way, WAY too easy.
Nope. It's the right book.
Chapter 1 contains:
1. Where's the power switch?
2. What is a mouse and keyboard?
3. How do I turn my computer off?
4. What if my computer asks me for a password?
I'm paying these people how much to teach me how to turn on and off my computer? This is absolutely ridiculous. I looked ahead a couple of chapters to see if it gets any harder and I came across chapter 7.
Chapter 7 contains:
1. What is the internet?
2. What's an IP address?
I was complaining to my dad how stupid this was, and he brought up how ironic it was that here chapter 7 is teaching you what the internet is and and how to use it, when you would have to know that already to actually get to this class because it's online!!! Can you see why I am annoyed?
